History
Orient Takaful Egypt is a provider of life and non-life insurance solutions in Egypt that comply with Shariah principles. It offers a range of products and services for individuals and businesses, such as motor insurance, property insurance, general accidents insurance, medical insurance and engineering insurance. It also provides online tools and customer service for its clients and partners. Orient Takaful Egypt was established in 2009 as an affiliate company of the UAE based Orient Insurance PJSC, which is a member of Al Futtaim group of companies and a market leader in UAE and operating in 7 countries. Orient Takaful Egypt is an Egyptian shareholding company subject to the provisions of Law No. 10 of 1981 and its amendments and has a license No. (30) from the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA). It is the third largest non-life insurer and the largest Takaful insurer in Egypt. It has its head office in Cairo and several branches across the country.

the CEO of Orient Takaful Egypt is Mohamed Mostafa, who is also the managing director of Orient Takaful Egypt. He has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, and has been leading Orient Takaful Egypt since 2018. He is responsible for managing and developing the company’s business strategy, operations, distribution channels, product portfolio and customer service. He is also a board member of the Egyptian Insurance Federation and a member of the Insurance Committee of AmCham Egypt. He has a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Cairo University and a master’s degree in business administration from Maastricht School of Management.
